Primary responsibility is to test, configure, deploy and sustain tool sets, scripts, software, and services in a satellite communications production environment.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $85,000-$105,000

Kratos has an exciting opportunity for a Software Test and Deployment Engineer with the following responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to test, configure, deploy and sustain tool sets, scripts, software, and services in a satellite communications production environment.
- Develop and maintain a software Dev/Test environment for pre-release testing, this includes collecting requirements, design, material procurement and build-out within an Agile CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Deployment) software environment.
- Collaborate with software developers and operations staff to ensure that software designs align with common architectures and are testable, supportable, recoverable, and scalable in accordance with customer service level agreements.
- Be a proactive team member capable of executing testing and validation procedures for software services and tools, ensuring reliability and performance in production environments.
- Document test and deployment activities, including test plans, procedures, and results. Track and communicate findings and ensure timely closure of issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and fixes/work arounds to systemic problems that impact production operations, document and communicate findings.
Experience and Skills
- 2 + years' experience working with DevOps, and Agile CI/CD methodologies
- 2 + years' experience troubleshooting complex distributed environments and taking corrective actions to ensure availability
- 2 + years' experience developing and/or deploying software, microservices, APIs, RESTful web services in a Docker environment.
- 2 + years' experience with Cloud Technologies, such as: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- ship required
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Domain experience with satellite communications technologies in an operational environment
- Certification in DevOps, Agile CI/CD methodologies, SAFe, ITIL
- Experience and/or certification in CyberSecurity disciplines
- Experience scripting, using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python or equivalent
- Experience with languages, such as: SQL, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#
- Experience with database organization and administration.
- Experience in the development and management of Service oriented solutions
- Experience using Atlassian DevOps tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc)
- Current DoD Secret clearance
