Major Duties :

1. Daily workload execution and prioritization of deliverables (daily and monthly)

2. Collaborates with other data management, analytics, and governance teams and executes tasks appropriately to ensure business objectives are met

3. Ensures that quality data is timely delivered to business applications and stakeholders by implementing tools and processes used to maintain a common data standard across the department

4. Participates in initiatives related to improving data quality, working closely with data stewards, data consultants and technology partners to gather and prepare data-related business requirements for projects and solutions

5. Ensures production procedures and documents are kept up to date

6. Develops and implements process control procedures and recommends solutions (strategic/tactical) to recurring operational problems

7. Prepares work ensuring completeness and accuracy, and that client specifications and standards are met

8. Manages escalations and coordinates with other teams

9. Cultivates relationships with all stakeholders

10. Acts as a subject matter expert (SME)

11. Develops and maintains process monitoring dashboards and metrics

12. Actively manages process risk and related controls

13. Continuously drives performance, productivity and efficiency through the team(s)

Knowledge :

Assertive and effective communication skills and the ability to manage difficult conversations

General knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the technology field

Critical thinking and practical experience in roles requiring good analytical, numerical and reasoning skills

Time management and delegation skills

Proficient with MS Office, including Word and Excel

Relevant practical domain knowledge

Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)

Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies

Experience with business process optimization

Knowledge of the relevant regulatory environment

Technical skills and data analysis applications knowledge (e.g. Infosphere, Informatica, Collibra, Talend, Alteryx, SQL, Python and/or PowerBI) is an added advantage

Experience :

University degree or equivalent experience required, with 7+ years of total experience in the financial services industry preferred

Salary Range:
$114,700 - 194,900 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits.
