Role: Oracle HCM Cloud Manager
Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite)
Duration: Full Time
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of four Oracle HCM Cloud consultants (functional/technical).
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
- Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings to track project status and resolve issues.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the team.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify training or upskilling needs.
- Project Planning & Delivery
- Manage end-to-end Oracle HCM Cloud implementation or enhancement projects.
- Develop project plans, define milestones, allocate resources, and track timelines.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with client/business requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams Payroll, Finance, IT, and HR stakeholders.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for project issues.
- Functional Expertise & Solution Design
- Provide functional leadership across key Oracle HCM Cloud modules (Core HR, Payroll, Talent, Absence, Benefits, etc.).
- Participate in solution design workshops and guide the team in requirement gathering and documentation.
- Review and validate configurations, integrations, and reports built by the team.
- Ensure Oracle HCM Cloud best practices are followed throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Oracle HCM Cloud team and senior management or clients.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with clients/business users to ensure satisfaction and adoption.
- Manage change requests, scope, and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Review deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
- Establish and maintain project documentation and governance procedures.
- Promote process improvement and automation opportunities within HCM processes.
- Monitor Oracle quarterly updates and ensure timely regression testing and adoption of new features.
- Strategic & Operational Contributions
- Support management in capacity planning and resource allocation.
- Contribute to proposals, estimates, and resource planning for upcoming projects.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to align Oracle HCM initiatives with organizational goals.
- Provide insights on emerging Oracle HCM Cloud features and roadmap alignment.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud with at least 2 full-cycle implementations.
- Strong understanding of Core HR, Absence, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Management modules.
- Proven experience in team leadership or project management roles.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
PMP, HCM Cloud Certification, or Agile experience is an added advantage
