• This is a long-term contract, with an initial term of 12 months, planned for extension and/or permanent placement
• Pay range is $75-81/hr on W2 + eligible to sign up for benefits (health, vision, dental, 401k) on day 1

• Seeking a cloud engineer that understands Kubernetes in AWS and GCP, and networking between the two, including auth, security, routing, etc.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with extensive knowledge in Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP, focusing on networking solutions between these cloud platforms. This role is essential for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures. The ideal candidate will prioritize authentication, security, and routing between AWS and GCP environments.

In this position, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain a robust cloud platform, ensuring seamless operations across both AWS and GCP.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud architectures utilizing AWS and GCP, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes for containerized workloads (EKS, GKE).
• Lead the development of networking solutions between AWS and GCP, ensuring secure communication, efficient routing, and robust authentication.
• Utilize cloud-native services (Route 53, VPC, IAM, Cloud Identity) to construct secure and scalable infrastructure.
• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams to align cloud solutions with organizational goals.
• Troubleshoot and optimize cloud infrastructure, focusing on network performance, security, and reliability.
• Develop automation and CI/CD pipelines for efficient infrastructure deployment and updates.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing to enhance cloud operations and team capabilities.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices to continuously improve infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and GCP, including Kubernetes (EKS, GKE) for containerized workloads.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPC, subnetting, gateways, DNS (Route 53), firewalls, and security groups.
• Proven experience in networking between AWS and GCP, with a focus on routing, security configurations, and cross-cloud authentication.
• Proficiency with cloud automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Demonstrated experience designing and deploying scalable, highly available cloud infrastructures across multiple clouds.
• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in complex cloud infrastructure challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, network security).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and DevOps methodologies.
