Junior Mainframe TWS Developer

• Duties entail processing Jira Service Requests for New set-up and maintenance of existing set-up in Endevor for various administrator duties; CJDAP/JCLCHECK support; On-boarding Application User personnel to DEVOPS Mainframe Development environment. Responsible for ensuring change controls are processed and security and audit requirements are met.
• Support 8 zLinux servers and multiple SPK's on the Horizon Platform in support of the DevOps Initiative. Perform SELMA Packages for ID/z version upgrades, Topaz Connect Plug-in, DevOps Assistant and Sonar Lint utilities.
• This role is responsible for problem and debugging support, interfacing with application developers as well as working across various technical groups as needed.
• Assist with the DevX Code Pipeline/ISPW conversion from Endevor. Learn the new tool and perform administrator duties as well as conduct Application area training and support when proficient with the ISPW tool.

Requirements:

• 7 - 10 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Basic knowledge and/or experience with Mainframe z/OS, JCL, TSO, ISPF, REXX, IBM Utilities, VSCODE, GIT, Bitbucket, z/OS USS, z/OS Connect, Jenkins, IDZ and/or Eclipse based software development processes.
• Knowledge of programming languages and facilities Python, Java, DB2 and COBOL. Demonstrate and provide technical leadership and knowledge. Lead resolution processes for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Communicate across differing audiences including technical, managerial and vendors. Develop technical solution requirements and lead individual or small team initiatives. Ability to learn, adapt, and innovate on your own, with strong knowledge of Agile Development practices. Good communication skills, both written and oral are required as the individual must interface with application developers, support teams, software vendors and management staff.
• Basic knowledge and/or experience with Gradle, Groovy, Maven, Ansible, XLR.
• Knowledge of programming languages and facilities YAML, XML.

• Ability to manage multiple deliverables with various time deliveries from days to months.
• Build interactive user interfaces using NodeJS/REACTJS ensuring responsive and dynamic web applications
• Develop server-side applications using Java
• Integrate frontend and backend components to deliver complete web solutions. Implement RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Design/Develop and maintain databases using Oracle SQL. Write SQL queries, stored procedures and optimize database performance.
• Ability to work with CI/CD tools/pipelines
• Ability to work closely with clients to resolve Tool issues.
• Work in Agile teams, participate in code reviews and use version control tools like GIT, Bitbucket
• Good communication skills, both written and oral are required as the individual must interface with application developers, support teams, software vendors and management staff.

• The successful candidate may be required (after suitable training) to participate in a 24x7 Oncall rotation and be required to provide off hours support as necessary.

• Working knowledge of IBM Utilities i.e. IEBCOPY, IEBGENER, etc.
