Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Lead the design and architecture of scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective software solutions tailored to business needs. Develop PoCs to validate new technologies or approaches, ensuring alignment with performance benchmarks before full-scale implementation. Optimize application performance and reduce costs by improving infrastructure usage and implementing scalable strategies. Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and enforce best practices in coding, design, and development processes. Design and implement A/B testing, performance testing, and automation testing frameworks to ensure high-quality solutions. Build and manage scalable data warehousing solutions using Snowflake and AWS Redshift with efficient processing and loading strategies. Implement monitoring systems with Splunk, Datadog, and Dynatrace, enabling proactive issue detection and remediation. Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to analyze requirements and design solutions. Oversee code reviews and resolve technical issues, ensuring stability, performance, and alignment with business goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Utilizing Python and PySpark to build scalable data pipelines and transform data based on business rules; Using AWS services including S3, ECS, EMR, and Lambda for infrastructure, and to design and implement robust data solutions that meet business requirements, enhance data accessibility, and analytics capabilities; Utilizing SQL for writing queries to access data from different data sources; Java Spring Framework; JavaScript including Node.js, React.js, Angular, and Next.js for building front end web services and backend API for building end-end Analytical solutions; Data warehousing with Snowflake and AWS Redshift, including stored procedures and optimizing data processing pipelines for large-scale data loads; Defining, provisioning, and managing resources with AWS infrastructure and Terraform; Utilizing Cassandra and PostgreSQL for large-scale data storage and querying; Using Kafka for real- time, event-driven architectures and data streaming pipelines; Using Splunk, Datadog, and Dynatrace for proactive monitoring, alert setup, and dashboard creation; Designing and implementing automation testing frameworks using Cucumber and Selenium, and executing performance testing strategies; Identifying and implementing cost reduction strategies across cloud resources and infrastructure; Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
