Job Title: Sr. Project Manager Healthcare IT (Onsite)
Location: Iowa City, IA (Onsite Only Local or Regional Candidates Preferred)
Duration: Long Term
Job Summary:
We are seeking two experienced Senior Project Managers to lead strategic IT initiatives for a major healthcare institution. These professionals will manage the full lifecycle of enterprise-wide technology projects, focusing on the implementation of a new Radiology Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and additional Radiology and Pathology systems.
This is an onsite-only role and requires strong collaboration across clinical, technical, and administrative teams to ensure project success aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution
- Define and manage project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans using the Waterfall methodology.
- Lead system integrations, including full legacy data migration and connection with Epic.
Team and Stakeholder Management
- Build and manage cross-functional project teams.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders at all levels, including clinical staff and leadership.
- Deliver comprehensive status updates and project documentation.
Risk and Issue Management
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks and issues.
- Escalate critical items to project sponsors and leadership as needed.
Vendor Management
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Ensure contract compliance and monitor deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of IT Project Management experience in a healthcare delivery environment.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple large-scale projects.
- Experience with PACS systems and healthcare IT integrations (especially with Epic).
- Strong communication, leadership, and facilitation skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to manage change in a complex environment.
Required Certifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification.
- ITILv3, Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certification.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with PMBOK principles.
- Proficiency in workflow mapping, KPI development, and performance analysis.
- Experience with Radiology and Pathology systems.

- Project Management tools: MS Project, SharePoint, M365, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint
- Collaboration tools: MS Teams, Zoom
