About the Role

Are you a security engineer who is excited to take charge of security challenges in cloud and shift of the famous network perimeter? Are you fascinated in an enriched experience of working with an international and diverse team of IT security experts? Do you thrive in an autonomous team?

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Network Security Engineer for our Network Security Team who will have full end-to-end ownership of network capabilities that allow for strong security prevention, detection and response of cyber threats.

Our team's core mission is to ensure SWIFT's cyber infrastructure is in line with industry standards by product selection for new tools, POCs, deployment, configuration, maintenance, support and license management.

What to expect

As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will drive and contribute to a number of key activities:
  • Be the trusted & main point of contact for network security matters
  • Conduct implementation of new initiatives regarding Cyber security, to enhance prevention, detection and investigation capabilities.
  • Investigate less complex security cases and propose response procedures. Work with more senior Security Management Specialists to resolve/close security cases.
  • Provide input to guide the security roadmap for future enhancements of our defense.
  • Evaluate and integrate new security solutions in the existing infrastructure.
  • Support operational teams maintaining security infrastructure (intrusion detection, remote access security, email & web security, anti-malware, etc.)
  • Support security investigations
  • Identify and analyze tools to automate day to day activities such as system checks, log checks and baseline compliance.
  • Occasionally participate in supporting audits and risk assessments
  • Be deep on the technical side while being able to synthesize the information with right level of abstraction for the target audience.
  • Promote a strong security culture at SWIFT


What will make you successful?

Required Technical skills:
  • Proficiency in networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols like BGP and OSPF, along with VPN technologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in networking hardware from Cisco, Juniper, Big F5, etc.
  • Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code for automating network deployment and operations. (Preferred Languages: Python, Perl, PowerShell, and Bash)
  • Solid comprehension of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, covering command line utilities and file system management
  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and services
  • Working knowledge of network automation frameworks like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef


4 to 6 years hands on domain expertise in :
  • WAF, OWASP Top10

  • ZTNA

Education
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
