Group Details

The Director, Internal Communications is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and global communications team at Tradeweb. This new position will help evolve our employee communications program to become increasingly global, scalable and strategically aligned with our growth objectives ? while continuing to reinforce our unique company culture. The successful candidate will be a strong writer, team player and culture champion within an expanding communications team. This position will help drive business results through effective communication support and helping to strengthen our organization?s employee engagement through various events and partnership programs. Based in our New York City headquarters, this role is global and will require an ability to balance global a strategy with the employee experience in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific.

We are looking for an internal communications leader who is adept at best practice in employee communications including topics, trends, events and analytics, ideally in financial sector or other regulated industry. This candidate will embracing use of Ai and other transformative technology to support employee engagement and extend the reach of the team. A self-starter, creative problem solver, superb collaborator, the internal communications candidate must also be a strong writer and effective presenter. This role requires an ability to bring employees along with you, leading through influence as much as authority.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic development and execution:
    • Ensure that all internal communications are aligned with the company?s strategic goals and reinforce our unique company culture.
    • Work with the Head of Communications, HR leadership and other internal stakeholders to create and follow a global plan for internal communication that supports:
      • Strategic growth and business Initiatives
      • HR comms
      • Company and other department news
      • Tradeweb culture and employee networks
      • Continuity of business/incident response and change management
      • Incorporating best practice for employee communications
  • Content creation and distribution:
    • Conceive and distribute communications that are tailored relevant and engaging. These communications include company news, announcements about the company, maintenance notices, training materials, and updates on important projects and initiatives.
    • Maintain a consistent and engaging tone of voice that resonates with our diverse employee base.
  • Collaboration and Engagement:
    • Collaborate regularly with internal committees and stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
    • Assist with global employee engagement events, both virtual and live, including town halls, various partnerships, and DEI programs.
  • Intranet:
    • Oversee the maintenance and promotion of the company's intranet and related tech stack (email, electronic signage, etc.), ensuring it is a valuable resource for all employees.
    • Continuously improve the intranet?s functionality and user experience to enhance employee engagement and information accessibility.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
    • Build out and manage analytics and reporting for internal communication channels to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts.
    • Use data to inform and optimize communication strategies and tactics.
  • Continuity of Business:

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in communications, preferably in the financial sector or another regulated industry.
    • Proven track record in developing and executing internal communication strategies.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor?s degree in journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging messages.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with individuals at all professional levels.
    • Proficiency in using AI and other transformative technologies to enhance employee engagement and communication reach.
    • Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with specific deadlines, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
    • Positive, can-do attitude and a strong eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

  • The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $175,000 to $305,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
