CEIs Fortune 500 Client is a national-leader in commercial insurance, and they are adding a Software Procurement Analyst to their team SAM in Wilmington, DE.
Software Procurement Analyst
Contract
Wilmington, DE (Onsite 4 days per week)
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct continuous monitoring of license entitlements to ensure compliance across all software publishers; complete license true-up exercises as needed.
- Minimize organizational spend through product standardization and optimize efficiencies by discovery tracking and license harvesting; analyze software usage data to identify underutilized software.
- Assist with negotiating software vendor contracts and license maintenance renewals; understanding of publisher terms of use.
- Experience working with SAM tools to track software usage and compliance effectively.
- Process software license requests through ServiceNow and recommend best sourcing method; issue purchase orders to vendors, monitor vendor response times, and expedite orders when needed.
- Maintain software asset database for approved applications; assist with Catalog updates/upkeep.
- Experience managing on-prem and cloud licenses for vendors such as Microsoft and Adobe.
- Familiarity with vendor portals including but not limited to Microsoft VLSC, Azure EA, Adobe, IBM, and Oracle.
- Employ a continuous improvement approach to identify potential process enhancements in the software license lifecycle.
- Assist with quarterly harvesting of licenses.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years in a Software Asset Analyst role
- Solid knowledge of software licensing and maintenance agreements
- Experience working with a SAM tool
- Proficient in ServiceNow and MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of IT Service Management processes
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Self-motivated with a high attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
