Hours & Pay
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (with up to 8 hours of overtime available)
- Duration: 6-month assignment with extension potential
- Location: On-site at a cutting-edge engineering headquarters in Newark, CA
- Pay Rate: $65.00-$70.00 per hour
- Travel: Official travel may be reimbursed

What You'll Do
- Set up and execute advanced structural optimizations, defining design spaces, constraints, and objectives
- Perform subsystem and full-vehicle optimization focused on stiffness, stress, and mass reduction
- Interpret CAE results and translate them into practical, manufacturable design recommendations
- Apply multi-domain and multi-material optimization strategies across NVH, crash, durability, and manufacturing domains
- Collaborate cross-functionally to balance performance, weight, and cost targets
- Provide engineering guidance during early concept and design phases
- Utilize industry-standard tools such as OptiStruct, NASTRAN, HyperWorks, and BetaCAE
- Support automation and workflow improvements through Python or TCL scripting when applicable
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience, including 1-2 years focused on CAE optimization
- Strong foundation in FEA methods and structural analysis
- Hands-on experience with OptiStruct, NASTRAN, HyperWorks, and/or BetaCAE
- Ability to think analytically, solve complex problems, and collaborate within cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working on-site in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment
- Performance evaluated through task-based technical assessments
