Role: ServiceNow Backend Developer
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Remote- Local Preferred)
Type: Contract on W2
Description:-

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom workflows using Flow Designer and Workflow Editor.
  • Build and maintain Service Catalog items, including variables, UI policies, client/server scripts, and catalog tasks.
  • Develop and maintain business rules, script includes, scheduled jobs, and REST/SOAP integrations.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX, infrastructure, and business teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Optimize backend performance and ensure maintainability and scalability of ServiceNow applications.
  • Manage update sets, version control, and code promotions across environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in ServiceNow workflows and catalog processes.
  • Ensure compliance with ServiceNow best practices, security policies, and coding standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, and ServiceNow server-side APIs.
  • Strong experience with Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and Service Catalog development.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITSM modules (e.g., Request, Incident, Change, CMDB).
  • Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and mid-server configurations.
  • Familiarity with ACLs, roles, and platform security.
  • Latest ServiceNow Certifications
