Job Description:

Software Engineer

Requirements:
  • Active Secret Clearance or higher
  • Active IAT Level II certification
  • Skilled in Java and C++ development (60% Java and 40% C++)


Location: 100% on site in Norfolk, VA

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Employment Length: 6 month contract (conversion based on performance)

Pay: $45/hr. - $55/hr contingent upon experience

Job Description:

Knowledge of software development best practices.

Skilled in Agile development frameworks

Experience with RDBMS such as Sybase, SQL Server, or Oracle

Skilled in C/C++, Java, SQL, Bash, Maven, and Make

Experience developing SOAP and RESTful Web Services

Experience with Linux operating systems, preferably Red Hat

Experience testing a debugging code

Should have working knowledge of DevSecOps concepts to include continuous (delivery, deployment, integration) release process, versioning, configuration management and build process

Experience with test frameworks such Junit or TestNG

Ability to coordinate and collaborate with members of a software development or systems engineering team to accomplish project team goals and objectives.

Knowledgeable with Micro Focus ALM and UFT. Knowledgeable with shared object repositories, function libraries and creating reusable actions.

Knowledgeable with Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database management systems.

Requirements:

  • Secret clearance
  • IAT II
  • 3 YOE in software development for software applications
  • Experience in fields associated with DoD Business IT supply, logistics, maintenance, and/or personnel administration system for aviation, afloat or shore activities
  • 5 YOE solving technical problems. Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance and has a broad range of knowledge and experience in application of software development. Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts. Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards. Experience includes validating system to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely.
