This role will be focused on designing, implementing, and supporting Okta solutions within our organization's Identity and Access Management (IAM) space. This role involves advanced configuration, troubleshooting, and potentially developing customized solutions on the Okta platform. Key responsibilities include leading Okta-related projects, migrating users and applications, ensuring seamless integration with other systems, and providing support and guidance to other teams.

Overall Purpose

This role will be focused on designing, implementing, and supporting Okta solutions within our organization's Identity and Access Management (IAM) space. This role involves advanced configuration, troubleshooting, and potentially developing customized solutions on the Okta platform. Key responsibilities include leading Okta-related projects, migrating users and applications, ensuring seamless integration with other systems, and providing support and guidance to other teams.

This is a 12-month contract role.

Essential Functions

  • Support our Okta Workforce and CIAM Platforms and integrations.
  • Evaluate the IAM organizational structure, system configuration, application integrations and make recommendations for operational and/or security enhancements
  • Drives the adoption of IAM best practices, and documentation of security standards in collaboration with Enterprise Architects, Security Architects and Application Architects
  • Take ownership of IAM Production/Sandbox/Development environments and is responsible for the daily on-going administration, maintenance and operational support.
  • Ensure repeatable processes for IAM/MFA application onboarding, including requirements gathering, app integration, documentation and the handoff to the business
  • Develop a relationship with business and technology stakeholders ensuring on-time delivery
  • Proactively monitor IAM platform to prepare and avoid problems all together or minimize the potential impact of developing issues. Troubleshoots escalated issues with identity providers or integrations
  • Adhere to all compliance requirements including change management process, enforcement of password and MFA policies, and approval workflows
  • Provides effective leadership in developing highly engaged and high performing teams.
  • Provides technical specifications and supporting documentation for platform integrations.
  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years' relevant experience supporting, maintaining, integrating, and implementing IAM cloud/on-prem environments
  • 8+ years' experience managing IdP environments
  • Experience with custom OAUTH integrations, restAPI, and CIAM Live Service applications.
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced knowledge of Identity and Access Management platforms and integrations
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining multi-factor authentication solutions to a large user base
  • Advanced knowledge and relevant experience in key IAM concepts and methodologies including but not limited to, Single Sign On, Multi-Factor Authentication, Advanced Lifecycle Management, and workflows
  • Proficiency with SSO protocols such as SAML 2.0, OIDC, and SWA
  • Strong knowledge and experience using SCIM for application user provisioning
  • Experience supporting HR system integrations with MFA solutions for profile sourcing and lifecycle management
  • Great organizational and time management skills with the ability to communicate/collaborate effectively with team members and cross functional teams
  • Comfortable working in Windows 10/11 and MacOS end user compute environments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment that often requires shifting priorities
  • Background and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Okta Certified Consultant
  • Other IAM or Information Security certifications
  • MS Active Directory, on-prem, Azure and/or AWS ManagedAD Experience

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers.
