Job Title: Java AWS Lead

Location: San Francisco, CA

Job Description:

Design & build backend services with JDK 21, Spring Boot, and Microservices implement RESTful APIs, messaging, and interservice communication.

Architect and implement distributed systems on AWS (e.g., EC2Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDSDynamoDB, SNSSQS, CloudWatch) drive scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Develop web applications using Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JSF, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, jQuery integrate UI with secure backend services.

Apply core J2EE technologies (Servlets, JSP, JDBC, EJB, JNDI, JMS) and opensource frameworks (Struts, Spring Batch) where appropriate.

Leverage design patterns (MVC, Front Controller, FactoryAbstract Factory, Command, Singleton, Session Facade, Transfer Object, Business Delegate, DAO).Build and consume SOAPREST web services use JAXWSJAXRPCJAXRS, SAAJ, WSDL, UDDI for service registration and governance.

Contribute to frontend using Bootstrap, AngularJS, and Node.js modernize legacy AngularJS where feasible.

Own code quality: unitintegration tests (TDD), code reviews, staticdynamic analysis, test coverage.

Implement CICD with GitLab pipelines enforce branching, versioning, and release best practices.

Lead Agile ceremonies (Scrum), drive sprint goals, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery.

Ensure security, performance, and observability (authNauthZ, input validation, OWASP, caching, loggingmetricstracing).Mentor team members collaborate with BAQA for requirements, acceptance criteria, and UAT.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Handson: JDK 21, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS services, JDBCJNDI, JMS, J2EE stack.

Web: JSPServletsJSF, HTML5CSS3JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, jQuery, Bootstrap.

Frameworks: Struts (2.0), Spring Batch familiarity with JS frameworks (AngularJS) and Node.js.

Web Services: JAXWSJAXRSSOAPREST, WSDL, UDDI.

Dev Practices: AgileScrum, TDD, Pair Programming, CICD (GitLab), code review.

Tools: JIRA, GitLab.

Experience: Building multitier, webbased enterprise applications and distributed systems clientserver architectures intranetinternet DB applications.

Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem solving, mentoring.
