Job Details

Using strong communications skills, interviews with business users/clients to determine business and technology requirements

Prepares the General System Design documents which contain medium-to-high complex business rules and specifications required to make the system function in accordance with business requirements

Interfaces with applications development, business staff and testing teams to define the highest level of software and system requirements for the most complex changes, based on business needs.

Coordinates and leads process reviews between business users/clients, applications development and testing staff to ensure full understanding of business requirements and proposed general designs

Participate as a team member and independently analyze and document solutions to complex business problems, completing assignments accurately and within allotted timeframes

Understands prioritization of work based on multiple and conflicting business needs

Collects, interprets, and presents data using SQL, for data gathering, analysis and research purposes

Ensures General System Designs are properly stored using version controls such as Team Foundation Server (TFS)

Provide effort estimates for assigned applications for Legislative reasons or on request

Performs knowledge transfer sessions to train other functional analysts in the team on assigned tasks

Possesses a detailed understanding of the processes that support the software development lifecycle

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meeting deadlines while sometimes working under pressure

Proficient in use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
