Job Title: DB2 Performance & Licensing Analyst
Project Scope & Objectives:
We are seeking a DB2 expert to lead performance testing and licensing analysis for two DB2 editions-Standard (non-sharded) and Advanced (sharded). The goal is to determine if the Standard Edition meets performance needs and offers cost advantages over the Advanced Edition.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and configure test environments for DB2 Standard and Advanced Editions.
- Conduct performance benchmarking and stress testing across both setups.
- Analyze licensing models and cost implications for each edition.
- Provide recommendations based on performance and cost trade-offs.
- Work closely with migration specialists to align testing outcomes with migration strategy.
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of DB2 architecture, editions, and licensing.
- Experience in performance testing and benchmarking DB2 databases.
- Ability to interpret licensing terms and model cost scenarios.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Experience working in enterprise environments with complex DB setups.
