Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, data governance, and technical teams for MDM initiatives.
- Define, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog to deliver maximum business value.
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for MDM features and enhancements.
- Ensure alignment of MDM capabilities with enterprise data strategy, governance policies, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and data stewards to design and implement scalable and sustainable MDM solutions.
- Drive adoption and effective usage of the MDM platform across business units and domains (customer, product, supplier, etc.).
- Monitor data quality metrics and partner with stakeholders to continuously improve master data standards and processes.
- Act as the subject matter expert for MDM capabilities, features, and integrations.
- Track and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master s preferred).
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in data management, preferably with MDM platforms.
- Strong understanding of MDM concepts (data domains, data quality, hierarchy management, data governance, stewardship).
- Experience with one or more MDM tools (Informatica, Reltio, SAP MDG, IBM InfoSphere, Oracle, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
- Familiarity with data integration, APIs, data lakes, and cloud technologies is a plus.
