Description
An internationally recognized academic health sciences centre serving women, children, youth, and families across Atlantic Canada is implementing advanced clinical systems to improve patient care, streamline workflows, and enable integrated digital health across the province.
We're looking for a Clinical Systems Analyst with expertise in clinical informatics, workflow optimization, and healthcare technology integration. This hybrid Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst role will support the design, implementation, and optimization of clinical systems and processes, ensuring alignment with provincial standards and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clinicians, operational leaders, and technical teams to analyze current and future state workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
Lead requirements elicitation for new or upgraded clinical systems, ensuring alignment with record standards and provincial governance frameworks.
Support system integration efforts across platforms (Cerner, Novari, OceanMD, PACS, Varian), including interface design, data mapping, and conformance testing.
Develop and maintain documentation: business requirements, functional specifications, test plans, governance frameworks, and standard operating procedures.
Coordinate and execute testing and validation activities, including UAT, regression, and integration testing, to ensure system readiness and patient safety.
Act as a liaison between clinical stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex requirements into actionable deliverables.
Contribute to change management and training support, helping end-users adopt new workflows and technologies effectively.

Provincial Health Projects: Experience supporting province-wide initiatives such as governance frameworks, standardization of clinical workflows, and multi-site system rollouts.
Cerner Expertise: Hands-on experience with Cerner Millennium modules (PowerChart, PowerForms, Dynamic Documentation) and related configuration.
Novari & OceanMD: Proven track record implementing surgical scheduling and eReferral solutions.
Diagnostic Imaging & Oncology Systems: Familiarity with AGFA PACS, Varian, and point-of-care ultrasound governance.
Integration & Standards: Strong understanding of HL7/FHIR interoperability, data migration, and conformance testing.
Project Leadership: Skilled in creating charters, test plans, and managing stakeholder engagement across clinical and technical domains.
Proficiency in SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse clinical and technical audiences.
Certifications in Clinical Informatics, PMP, or CPHIMS considered an asset.
