Software Engineer - Expertise in Integration Systems : 9+ years' experience

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with 9-12 years of experience to join our Engineering team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining highly integrated backend systems and services for our brokerage and financial platforms. This position emphasizes system integration, API development, and real-time messaging, with opportunities to contribute to the performance and scalability of mission-critical financial applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance integration-centric backend services using Java, Golang, or Python.
  • Design and implement REST APIs that enable smooth communication between internal and external systems.
  • Build and support asynchronous messaging systems using platforms like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
  • Write and optimize SQL/NoSQL queries, stored procedures, and data flows across databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Collaborate with QA, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth delivery and integration of features and services.
  • Analyze application and system performance across integrated components and propose improvements.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and support efforts related to system integration and data flow.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Support production systems and debug integration issues in real-time environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 9 12 years of hands-on experience in software development, preferably in FinTech, SaaS, or Capital Markets domains.
  • 3+ years Experience in FinTech, especially in Capital Markets, Trade Lifecycle, Portfolio Management, or Payments. Understanding of pre-trade and post-trade processes, or payment and settlement systems.
  • Proficient in Java, Golang, or Python, with a focus on integration or backend development.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices design.
  • Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ) in integration scenarios.
  • Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and familiarity with stored procedures and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and scripting for automation or data processing.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD, source control (Git), and tools like Jenkins, Jira.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve integration issues across systems.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience working in capital markets, trading systems, portfolio management, or mutual funds is a strong plus.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, particularly in the context of integrated architectures.
  • Basic experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated integration testing.
