ECS is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Architect to work in our Arlington, VA office.

ECS is seeking talented professionals to join our growing team in supporting the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC), CISA's premier initiative for whole-of-nation cyber defense. JCDC brings together federal agencies, private sector leaders, and international partners to analyze emerging threats, share actionable intelligence, and coordinate strategic responses to protect critical infrastructure.

Job Summary:

The JCDC is CISA's flagship initiative for uniting government, industry, and international partners to proactively defend against cyber threats . Our ECS team is at the center of providing support to JCDC as they continue to plan, share, and respond to cyber threats in real time to support the greater cyber community and we are looking to grow our team supporting this critical mission.

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of secure, mission-aligned ServiceNow solutions across JCDC cybersecurity programs. This role combines deep platform expertise with secure coding practices, process automation, and stakeholder engagement. You'll architect workflows that accelerate vulnerability management, incident response, compliance reporting to support JCDC initiatives to help share and collaborate across the federal government as well as the public and private sectors.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop out of the box (OOTB) ServiceNow Modules for agency implementation, custom ServiceNow applications and ServiceNow Scoped Apps , and integrations .
  • Leveraging Flow Designer, and Script Includes and optimize workflows for cybersecurity operations, including incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability collaboration .
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems (e.g., Slack, AWS , CISA Data solutions, enterprise systems, etc. ) using ServiceNow Integration Hub, REST APIs, MID Servers, and webhooks .
  • Implement secure role-based access controls, data segregation, and audit logging aligned with FedRAMP and FISMA requirements .
  • Document architecture, data models, and user guides for technical and non-technical audiences .
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to ECS's ServiceNow strategy and CISA roadmap of requirements .


Required Skills

  • ship with an ability to obtain and maintain , at a minimum, DHS Suitability (EOD) Public Trust.
  • 8 + years of experience in software development, with 5 + years focused on the ServiceNow platform, including custom app development and system integrations.
  • Strong Experience with following ServiceNow Modules: ITSM, ITOM , SPM /ITBM/PPM , and Public Se ctor Digital Services (PSDS)
  • Experience leveraging ServiceNow Integration Hub, REST APIs, and webhooks to build extensibility and integration with enterprise and external capabilities/systems
  • Develop , maintain , and enhance existing and new ServiceNow workflow for business and technical configuration needs and requirements
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies) .
  • Experience with ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps), ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB modules .
  • Familiarity with secure development practices, data protection, and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53) .
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration patterns .
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Desired Skills

  • DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) clearance .
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Certified Implementation Specialist .
  • Experience supporting federal cybersecurity programs (e.g., CDM, CISA, DHS) .
  • Background in cybersecurity, compliance automation, or secure workflow design
  • Experience with following ServiceNow Modules: SecOps Security Incident Response (SIR), SecOps Vulnerability Response
