Class Action - Associate Business Analyst

We're seeking an Associate Business Analyst to support our clients high-profile Canada Tobacco case within our Client Services team. In this role, you'll translate business requirements into data requirements, support the development and testing of calculation modules, and ensure accuracy across large datasets tied to securities class action settlements. This position is ideal for someone with foundational experience in Business or Data Analysis who is comfortable reviewing SQL databases and working in a fast-paced environment. This is a 12-month remote contract, with potential for extension or conversion to full-time

• Translate case requirements into clear technical specifications and documentation for development.
• Analyze data using Excel, SQL Server, Oracle, and similar tools to ensure accuracy and alignment with requirements.
• Support Business Analysts and Senior BAs with nominee outreach, eligibility questions, and application of the Plan of Allocation (POA).
• Review submitted data to confirm compliance with POA and settlement requirements.
• Assist with testing calculation modules and reviewing results for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop standard queries to pull data components for calculation review and audits.
• Participate in final case reviews, including top claim audits and data quality checks.
• Professionally communicate with internal teams, clients, nominees, brokers, and other stakeholders.
• Log all project work accurately in SAP

Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.

2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role involving requirements gathering and analysis.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Experience working with relational databases (SQL preferred).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

Ability to translate functional requirements into technical documentation.
