RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a JavaScript Quality Engineer to join their team remotely.

Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Digital Web Engineering, the JavaScript Quality Engineer will play a critical role in driving innovation and growth for the Banking Solutions business. In this role, the candidate will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the company's digital transformation journey, drive customer-centric innovation and automation, and position the organization as a leader in the competitive digital banking landscape.

Key Tasks:
* Lead the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive quality assurance strategies and testing processes specifically tailored for JavaScript applications across multiple web browsers
* Develop test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for functional, non-functional, regression, and performance testing of web apps, ensuring thorough coverage of requirements and user scenarios
* Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts using tools such as Appium, XCTest, Espresso, or similar, to streamline regression testing and ensure test repeatability
* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps, and collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure automated testing is part of the development workflow
* Stay updated with the latest web testing tools, technologies, and best practices, and evaluate their applicability to enhance testing efficiency, coverage, and accuracy for web apps
* Conduct performance testing, load testing, and scalability testing of web apps to identify bottlenecks, optimize app performance, and ensure smooth user experience under various usage scenarios
* Collaborate with security teams to implement and execute web app security testing, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance checks to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a related area
* 7-10 years with 6-8 years of full life cycle development experience and 5-7 years of programming and system design experience in financial services or a related industry in directly related progressively responsible positions; Or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Proficient in creating test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications across all supported browsers and platforms
* Experience in functional testing, regression testing, usability testing, performance testing, and security testing of web apps
* Familiarity with web testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium Espresso, Calabash, or similar
* Strong hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for web apps using relevant tools and frameworks
* Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for automation tasks and test script development
* Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and working collaboratively with DevOps teams

Developer skills needed:

Added bonus if you have:
* Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Bit-Bucket)

* Working knowledge of multiple IDEs and debug utilities
* Working knowledge of test-driven development

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
