Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA) (Database Support (Microsoft SQL and Oracle))

Location: Remote in CST

Job Scope:

As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will be working alongside a Senior DBA and be responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle databases on Windows and Microsoft SQL Server environments. Your role will include ensuring the performance, availability, and security of databases, as well as troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases on Windows and Microsoft SQL Server Always On Failover Clusters.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries.
• Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
• Perform database upgrades and patches.
• Ensure database security and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application development and deployment.
• Maintain documentation of database configurations and procedures.
• Provide support for database-related incidents and requests.
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a DBA supporting Oracle databases on Windows and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and administration.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate).
• Experience with cloud database solutions.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation tools.
