Title: ServiceNow Architect,

Location: Remote

Experience: 12+ years (with at least 5+ years in ServiceNow platform architecture/design)


Job Summary

The ServiceNow Architect will lead the design, implementation, and governance of ServiceNow solutions across the enterprise. This role is responsible for defining technical strategy, ensuring adherence to best practices, and guiding development teams to deliver scalable, secure, and robust ServiceNow applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Design

    • Define and maintain the overall ServiceNow platform architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

    • Design solutions across ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, SecOps, CSM, and custom applications.

    • Provide technical leadership in ServiceNow integrations with third-party systems (via APIs, web services, MID server, etc.).

  • Governance & Best Practices

    • Establish governance frameworks, coding standards, and reusable design patterns.

    • Ensure compliance with ServiceNow s Now Platform best practices and security guidelines.

    • Review technical designs, scripts, workflows, and configurations.

  • Implementation & Delivery

    • Guide development teams in delivering modules such as Incident, Change, Problem, CMDB, Discovery, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management.

    • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

    • Support upgrades, patches, and new releases with minimal disruption.

  • Stakeholder Management

    • Act as the trusted advisor for IT leadership, business partners, and platform owners.

    • Conduct workshops to gather requirements and present architectural roadmaps.

    • Align platform strategy with enterprise digital transformation initiatives.

  • Mentoring & Team Leadership

    • Mentor developers and administrators on ServiceNow capabilities and best practices.

    • Lead design and code reviews to maintain quality standards.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise

    • 12+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in ServiceNow design and architecture.

    • Strong expertise in ServiceNow modules: ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, SecOps, GRC, CSM.

    • Experience designing and implementing CMDB, Discovery, and Event Management.

    • Hands-on expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, AngularJS, Jelly, and REST/SOAP APIs.

    • Experience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, and Orchestration.

  • Certifications (Preferred)

    • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.

    • Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in at least 2 modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD).

    • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).

    • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) highly preferred.

  • Soft Skills

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.


Nice to Have

  • Exposure to DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and Agile delivery methodologies.

  • Experience in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) for ServiceNow integrations.

  • Knowledge of ITIL v4 processes and enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
