Title: Sr. Application Developer Project Manager
Location: Miami, FL
Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Compensation: $80.00 - 90.00/hr

Sr. Application Developer Project Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field is required. An advance degree is highly desirable, particularly an MBA.
- Formal training and certification in the system development life cycle and project management is preferred. PMP, ITIL, Six Sigma, Scrum Master certifications are a plus. Technical certificates such as Azure DevOps, Power Platform, SQL Scripts, PowerBI, Oracle, Cisco, .NET, Tableau, JavaScript, C#, AWS, SAS, etc. a plus.
- Minimum 8 years experience as a Project Manager in information technology infrastructure and/or application implementations managing large and complex projects. Background in the Cruise Industry will be considered a plus.
- Experience in corporate level IT planning and deployment for application and database development, security, release management, infrastructure and/or quality engineering.
- Experience integrating multiple IT systems regardless of platform.
- Experience coordinating and managing change across multiple departments and corporate entities.
- Experience in estimating and leading the implementation of a variety of technologies such as 1) Windows, Unix, and mainframes 2) application development languages such as .net, C, SQL, JavaScript, Java 3) databases such as Oracle and SQL and tools such as OBIEE, Hyperion, Hadoop, Tableau 4) storage technologies such as Dell Compellent, EMC VNX/Unity/Vmax,5) networking devices such as core switches, wireless controller, satellites and/or wireless networks such Cisco Access Points.
- Experience with a variety of technology solutions such as custom development, SaaS, COTS, cloud, digital, mobile, etc.
- Basic knowledge of data architecture such as data lake, MDM, BI, and analytics.
- Experience with MS 365 (Teams, Yammer, SharePoint, etc.) and MS Office Suite including PowerPoint, Visio, and an enterprise PPM tool such as Daptiv, or MS Enterprise Project.
- Excellent communication, team building, conflict management, organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications in U.S. English. Intermediate fluency in Italian and/or German and/or Spanish are pluses.
- Global perspective -- accustomed to doing business around the world and comfortable working with professionals with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, including remotely or on ships.
- Strong experience in technology planning, project planning, team leadership, as well as establishing and managing service measures to ensure organizational effectiveness.
- Strong background and experience in IT technologies and managing application implementations.
- Experience supporting the whole lifecycle of applications development and implementation.
- Experience developing project estimates and resource plans.
- Ability to document coherent and concise project status reports including issues and risks.
- Ability to create PowerPoint presentations that are informative and engaging and deliver them to various audiences including executive management.
- Experience conducting project meetings and subsequently documenting/distributing meeting minutes and action items, including responsibilities for same, in a timely manner.
- Experience progressing complex project schedules, identifying, and managing the project s critical path, proactively identifying and escalating risks to project s schedule, budget, or quality.
- Experience tracking project expenses, forecasting future spend, calculating estimates-at-complete and proactively advising of forecasted variances along with proposed corrective action.
- Experience managing the participation of resources assigned to the project and holding them accountable for completing tasks in line with the effort and timeline estimates they provide - escalating issues proactively to resource s manager to mitigate impacts to project expectations.
- Experience managing multiple large projects simultaneously utilizing standard project management processes.
- Ability to review vendors' statements of work for completeness and relevance to project objectives.
- Experience managing vendors in the execution of their statement of work and holding them accountable; anticipating/escalating to direct supervisor if gaps or issues.
- Ability to request and obtain commitments for project team resources, preferably via automated processes (i.e.., enterprise project management tools).
Responsibilities:
- Establishes and manages project scope, objectives, work plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, team members and status reports. Uses project management tools such as Daptiv, Project, and Excel to plan and execute projects.
- Applies experience in software design and development using C#, Java, .Net or others to build and deploy new full stack technology for application areas such as enterprise eCommerce, Finance, HR, and Sales applications, etc.
- Utilizes experience with a broad variety of application solutions (i.e. custom development, SAAS, COTS, cloud, and mobile), in-depth knowledge of databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL), tools (OBIEE, Hyperion, Tableau, PowerBI) and data architecture (data lake, MDM), basic infrastructure platforms (virtualization, VMWare, HyperV), cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), OS management (Linux, Wintel, IBM), container implementation (Kubernetes, ECS, Docker), and network configurations (distributed private, public, hybrid cloud) to build accurate and comprehensive project plans, lead issue resolution, address risk management, and delivery high quality projects.
- Creates risk analysis and risk mitigation plans.
- Effectively builds and manages project budgets.
- Manages people, work, and resources to successfully execute the project.
- Responsible for all levels of communication around project planning and execution.
- Conducts executive project reviews, publishes project updates, and manages issues to closure.
- Understands and applies critical thinking to existing and new application software for integration and migration of enterprise systems.
- Anticipates and coordinates impacts to surrounding applications and systems across teams and across brands.
- Ensures adherence to Project Management Process, Systems Development Methodology, and quality standards for producing project deliverables
- Provides project management, oversight, and analytical guidance to the project team.
- Ensures business and technical documents are created and meets standards.
- Applies knowledge of analysis, design, development, and quality control to review and provide feedback on the project deliverables.
- Recommends and acts to direct the analysis and solution of complex problems.
- Ensures proper procedures are followed.
- Applies corporate-level applications knowledge and experience across multiple technologies to lead and assist with problem resolution and risk mitigation.
- Works with the team and leadership to document and resolve people, schedule, technical and financial conflicts.
- Builds effective working relationships while holding team members accountable.
- Interfaces with all areas affected by the project (i.e. business sponsors, software development teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, finance, quality assurance, security, compliance, and Senior IT management).
- Manages vendor selection, contract negotiations and the integration of vendor tasks into the overall work plan and project timeline.
- Tracks and reviews vendor deliverables: examples include software development artifacts such as design artifacts and test plans. Understands project financials, technical platform (i.e., integration of multiple, diverse hardware and soft-ware products) and business requirements to validate vendor s project plan, answer technical questions, and challenge technical assumptions.
