Job Summary:

We are seeking a SAP IS-U Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and support of innovative SAP-based solutions within the Utility Customer Service IT Applications team. You will play a key role in aligning business strategy with IT capability, with a strong focus on SAP IS-U Billing & Rates, HANA, and AMI/MDMS integration.

This position will report to the IT Service Delivery Manager and will collaborate with Business Analysts, Enterprise Architects, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated customer system solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & SME Role:

• Serve as the subject matter expert in SAP IS-U (Billing, Rates, AMI, and Customer Systems)
• Lead solution design and architecture across SAP IS-U, SAP HANA, MDMS, and AMI
• Drive technology roadmapping and lifecycle management
• Deliver enhancements, perform ABAP coding, and configuration changes
• Provide ongoing application and production support

Project Delivery:

• Lead IT solution design and architecture for assigned initiatives
• Support business case development and estimation
• Develop and maintain solution architecture documents (Conceptual, Logical, Physical)
• Enforce EA standards and ensure alignment with best practices
• Lead vendor coordination and integration efforts

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of experience in IT application development and architecture
• 5+ years hands-on experience with SAP IS-U Billing & Rates
• Proficient in SAP HANA, ABAP programming, and SAP Print Workbench
• Strong understanding of AMI, MDMS integration, and Meter-to-Cash processes
• Experience with Cycle Billing, Joint and Collective Invoicing, and Budget Billing

Preferred Skills:

• SAP Certifications (IS-U, ABAP)
• Utility industry experience
• Proven experience designing long-term strategic IT solutions
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with CCS integration
• Familiarity with enterprise SDLC methodologies
• Previous work with technology PoCs and roadmap planning
