Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer Sr to work in the Columbus OH area. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
The Infrastructure Engineer Sr role focuses on supporting client, server, and system operations. Key responsibilities include resolving incidents and requests, conducting system analysis, managing hardware/software upgrades, and executing technology projects. The Infrastructure Engineer Sr role focuses on supporting client, server, and system operations. Key responsibilities include resolving incidents and requests, conducting system analysis, managing hardware/software upgrades, and executing technology projects. This role also provides extensive exposure to Azure DevOps and management of Azure cloud environments.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for continuous integration and continuous deployment
- Manage Azure cloud environments, including monitoring, scaling, and troubleshooting
- Administer Linux servers and containers, including provisioning, security remediation, reverse proxy setup, firewall management, SSL, web server configuration, standard plugins, log rotation, backup, and performance optimization
- Implement and manage container orchestration (Kubernetes, Podman/Docker)
- Deploy and maintain Linux-based services (VMs and containers)
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Git and DevOps practices
- Support software developers in creating stable and efficient delivery environments
- Develop and enhance tools for automating common tasks
- Identify and resolve service issues ranging from disaster recovery to login problems
- Install and configure new servers, hardware, peripherals, services, directories, storage, and settings according to standards
- Create and maintain installation and configuration documentation
- Develop monitoring procedures to ensure optimal system performance
- Research industry trends and technological advances to propose IT improvements
- Provide advice and training to associates and business partners
- Determine technology solutions based on customer needs and business justification
- Act as a liaison to other teams and participate in projects as needed
- Provide on-call support for critical incident resolution
- Minimum of 5 years in IT Systems Administration supporting Middleware/OS technologies
- Progressive experience with Linux and Windows operating systems in both physical and virtualized environments (3+ years)
- Scripting experience with Linux/Unix shells, Ansible, or configuration management software (3+ years)
- Proficiency in automation scripting languages such as Bash, Hashi, Python
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Advanced knowledge of application deployment and incident resolution
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of supporting technologies for servers, including networking and services
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
- Experience with multiple Linux distributions (CentOS, RHEL, Oracle Linux)
- Familiarity with AWS Lambda, SNS, SQS, MySQL, Dynamo, RDS
- Experience with Rubrik
- VMWare, Linux+, RHCSA, or DevOps certifications
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and Azure best practices
- Adhere to policies, procedures, standards, codes, and regulations relevant to assignments
- Demonstrate knowledge of infrastructure, environment, components, and facilities to support projects efficiently
- Exhibit proficiency in analysis, design, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and customer service
