SAFe Agile Project Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic SAFe Agile Project Manager to lead the transformation of legacy applications into modern ServiceNow-based solutions. In this role, you will orchestrate cross-functional teams using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to deliver high-impact development projects, focusing on seamless migration, user onboarding, and capability enhancements. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with a passion for agile methodologies, capable of bridging technical and business needs in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Director of IT Delivery and offers opportunities to drive enterprise-wide digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAFe Agile Processes: Facilitate SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and ART Syncs, to ensure alignment across multiple agile release trains (ARTs) and delivery of ServiceNow initiatives on time and within scope.
 - Manage ServiceNow Development: Oversee end-to-end development workflows for transforming legacy applications into ServiceNow platforms, including requirements gathering, sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and deployment of custom modules (e.g., IT Service Management, HR Service Delivery).
 - Drive User Onboarding and Adoption: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement user capabilities, conduct training sessions, and measure adoption metrics to ensure smooth transitions and value realization post-go-live.
 - Risk and Dependency Management: Identify, mitigate, and track project risks, dependencies, and impediments using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow s own PPM module; escalate issues to leadership as needed.
 - Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for business and technical stakeholders, providing regular status updates, roadmaps, and demos to foster transparency and buy-in.
 - Team Coaching and Mentoring: Guide development teams (developers, analysts, testers) in agile best practices, promoting continuous improvement through retrospectives and metrics-driven insights.
 - Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects adhere to enterprise standards, including data security, accessibility, and regulatory requirements during legacy migrations.
 
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in project management within agile environments, with at least 2 years specifically in SAFe implementations; proven track record managing software development projects involving application modernization.
 - Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced certifications such as SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Practitioner (SP), PMP, or CSM are required.
 - Language and Communication: Native or advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken), with exceptional communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences; experience in creating executive presentations and facilitating workshops.
 - Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated ability as a quick learner in technical domains; familiarity with SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and integration tools (e.g., REST APIs, middleware).
 - Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and adaptability; ability to thrive in ambiguous, high-stakes scenarios while maintaining a collaborative team culture.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow experience (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist or Administrator certification) is highly desirable but not mandatory; candidates without it must show eagerness to upskill rapidly through hands-on learning.
 - Exposure to legacy system migrations (e.g., from on-premise to cloud-based platforms like ServiceNow).
 - Knowledge of ITIL frameworks or related service management practices.
