Description
SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer/Digital Engineer to support NSWC Crane and the Navy Hypersonic Program Office. As a member of SAIC's team, you will assist in providing system engineering and technical services in support of the customer's Digital Infrastructure and Digital Engineering efforts - enabling new and superior hypersonic weapon capabilities to be delivered to the warfighter at the speed of relevance. You will help the Navy enterprise change how it specifies, develops, integrates, and collaborates to develop weapon systems.
NOTE: This is a hybrid position requiring the candidate to be in the Crane, IN office approximately 3 days a week.
Job Description
SAIC seeks a candidate to provide SETA support to assist the customer to implement their Digital Engineering Strategy. The engineer will provide technical expertise in Information Technology (IT) systems and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) that enable Digital Engineering practices. The engineer will develop and maintain strong awareness of on-going IT projects and balance needs of the program with stakeholder requirements.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Active secret clearance
DoD Systems Engineering Experience desired (Navy/Army preferred)
Experience in requirements development ideally in Dassault Systems Cameo or other Requirements Management tool (e.g. DOORS, MagicDraw, Jama, Enterprise Architect, Capella, etc.)
Ability to effectively communicate complex topics and information with technical and non-technical audiences
Exceptional interpersonal skills and judgment to know how to navigate and resolve challenging situations
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Basic experience with modern digital engineering systems, tools, and workflows (e.g. Atlassian Jira and Confluence, PTC Windchill, MS Teams and SharePoint, and GitLab)
Basic computer networking knowledge. (LANs, WANs, routers, data flows, interfaces, etc.)
Basic computer application architecture knowledge (VM architecture, containerization, DevSecOps CI/CD)
Experience with project management tools (e.g. Jira or MS Project, Milestones Professional)
Experience with Business Intelligence or Data Visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, etc.)

- Participate in and facilitate team meetings to reach requirement consensus to capture strategic digital engineering capabilities for customers, both internal and external
- Direct end-to-end digital engineering processes and preparing and coordinating required documentation
- Demonstrate the ability to capture users' needs by performing requirements elicitation directly with stakeholders, drafting and documenting requirements for submittal to Enterprise IT resources to implement
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and at least 5 years' experience
- Interim clearance required to start with the ability to obtain Secret Clearance, SAIC will sponsor the clearance
- Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
