Brief Overview: Join a leading building materials manufacturer in a pivotal role as a Process Engineer II. You will provide crucial technical leadership for a major production asset, focusing on optimizing output, material and energy usage, and product quality. Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, problem-solving, and the implementation of innovative solutions in a dynamic 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Description: As a Process Engineer II, you will be responsible for the continuous analysis of production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement effective corrective actions. This includes developing standard control processes and operating procedures, defining process set points, and creating associated management tools. You will actively support safety improvements, evaluate and implement new technologies, and collaborate with internal and external resources to resolve technical issues. Leading process optimization efforts, participating in process redesigns, and providing on-site support during projects will also be key aspects of this role. You will lead multiple projects, manage priorities effectively, and leverage your problem-solving and analytical skills to drive successful outcomes.

Requirements:

Minimum Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related science.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial continuous process manufacturing as a process, manufacturing, or product engineer.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes.
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including complex data analysis.

  • Successful history of innovation and adaptability.
  • Solid project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Proven results orientation, including the ability to lead key projects to successful completion.
  • Experience with DOE (Design of Experiments) for process improvement.
  • Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to set and communicate expectations to team members.
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills, including the ability to interact with a broad range of employees.
  • Proven ability to make timely decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Experience supervising or leading individuals or project teams.
  • Ability to be on-call off-hours.
  • Willingness to travel (15 or more days per year).
