RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is working with a client in search of a focused and detail-oriented Legal Records Assistant to support a temporary project (6+month contract with potential to extend) in our Legal Department located in Midtown Manhattan, NY. This full-time, onsite role involves scanning and organizing historical records into a digital filing system. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing time effectively, and maintaining accuracy in a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Scan and digitize physical legal documents
* Accurately label and file records following a specific organizational structure
* Maintain confidentiality and data integrity
* Perform basic data entry and document management tasks

REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED required
* At least 1 year of clerical or administrative experience
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with file management systems
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
* Frequent standing, walking, and data entry
* Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25 pounds
* Use of desktop computer and scanning equipment
* Quiet, low-noise office environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
