Job Title: Design Engineer (Design and Full-Stack Development)
Location: Fully Remote

Overview
Client is seeking a Design Engineer to join our education team on a contract basis to support the design and development of a new learning hub. This hub will serve to educate our users and the general public on all things Claude + AI through a prompt library, interactive tutorials, structured academy courses, and more. This role uniquely combines design thinking with full-stack engineering, and represents a unique opportunity to shape how people learn about and interact with AI technology at one of the world's leading AI safety companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build responsive web applications for educational content delivery, interactive tutorials, and learning management systems
- Own the product design process from concept to implementation, creating wireframes, prototypes, and design systems that optimize learning outcomes and engagement
- Collaborate with client's education and marketing teams to translate learning needs into beautiful product solutions
- Develop full-stack solutions including frontend interfaces and integrations with our existing CMS and LMS systems
You may be a good fit if you have:
- 5+ years of experience combining design and full-stack development with modern web technologies (React, TypeScript, Next.js, Python)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both visual design skills and technical implementation across web applications, especially in learning contexts
- Experience with integrating content and learning management systems into web applications
- Proficiency with design tools like Figma, and an understanding of user experience principles
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong candidates may also have:
- Understanding of adult learning principles and experience applying them to product design and user experience
- Background building beautiful and engaging interactive demos, sandboxes, or "try it yourself" experiences
- Experience building unified content platforms that support multiple products, use cases, or audiences
