Systems Testing/QA Specialist

Job Description:
- The QA Tester will participate in business requirement walkthroughs, develop test stXXgies, create and execute test cases, and support testing in Agile/DevOps environments.
- The role includes identifying and documenting issues, troubleshooting, and ensuring high-quality software delivery across the project life cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate business requirements walkthroughs and analyze requirements documentation including Use Cases, User Stories, and non-functional requirements.
- Develop and contribute to testing strategies, creating test plans, and designing test cases.
- Execute system and user acceptance tests following HClient Test Methodology
- Conduct automated testing where applicable using testing tools such as Selenium or SOAP UI.
- Verify actual results meet expected results and analyze test databases using SQL.
- Document, log, and monitor the resolution of system variances
- Provide recommendations on the acceptance or rejection of system components.
- Perform regular status reporting on progress, key issues, and concerns
- CollaboXX with business teams, developers, and stakeholders to support client decision-making.
- Conduct regular usability testing, root cause analysis, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience in implementing and executing comprehensive test strategies in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Proficiency with automated testing tools such as Selenium or SOAP UI
- Expertise in system testing methodology and executing system and user acceptance tests.
- Experience in defect tracking and management tools like Jira, IBM ClearQuest, or MS Azure DevOps.
- Skilled in SQL and JCL for examining test databases and logging test results
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to write test plans and test cases that are clear and easily understood by both developers and business analysts.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience in analyzing business requirements, user stories, and test data to support test strategies.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with federal, provincial, or public-sector healthcare providers.
- Knowledge of provincial immunization systems and large-scale IT health-related projects.
- Experience with Clinical IT Systems integration (e.g., Client and Provider Registries).
- Understanding of Public Sector Enterprise Architecture and adherence to standard systems development methodologies.
