As a vital member of our organization, you'll manage and optimize complex databases, ensuring they're secure, efficient, and ready to support impactful decisions. Your expertise in database management systems will help us stay ahead in a data-driven world, safeguarding information while enabling seamless access and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications.
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of the database to the management system, or direct others in coding descriptions.
  • Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
  • Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate the time and cost required to accomplish the project.
Skills:
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Basic mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Knowledge of database management software.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve database-related issues
Education/Experience:
  • An associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training is required.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
