Job Description:

Location Requirement: Role is fully Onsite.
Candidate must be a CURRENT SC Resident. No relocation allowed
Migrate Oracle Spatial database maintained through Geomedia to a SQL database maintained through ESRI Roads and Highways on-premise. This project will include the conversion of the database and a software upgrade.
Primary Responsibilities
- Produce digital/hard copy maps in advanced GIS/Mapping applications
- Perform GIS data collection, maintenance and analysis
- Update database tables to reflect changes to the GIS features used in GIS analysis and in mapping as assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform quality control on the new and existing data to maintain correctness and spatial accuracy standards
- Assist in the development and maintenance of procedure manuals
- Completes software/procedures research/testing as assigned by the manager
- Performs related tasks as assigned by the manager.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge and experience working with GIS/Mapping software and applications.
- Experience working with a spatial database, Microsoft Office.
- Experience with cartography.
- Experience with database design
- Bachelor s degree, Preferred field of study includes Geography, Computer Science, GIS, or Physical Science
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge and experience with ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience with a SQL database.
- Experience with ArcGIS roads and highways extension
