Proven experience working with IBM Mainframe systems (z/OS, JCL, and COBOL is a plus).

Strong knowledge of Control-M job scheduling and automation.

Experience with Electronic Secure File Transfer (ESFT), including configuration, troubleshooting, and ensuring secure file exchange processes.

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly resolve critical issues in high-pressure situations.

Familiarity with system monitoring tools and proactive issue resolution.

Knowledge of ITIL incidents and problem management processes.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a 24/7 shift-based environment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Flexibility and adaptability to handle evolving tasks in a dynamic environment.

Experience with automation scripting (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl).

Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems (Dynatrace, Big Panda, Splunk, Nagios, or similar tools).

Understanding of security best practices related to file transfers and system access control.

Familiarity with cloud environments and integration with mainframe systems.

"Responsible for supporting and maintaining critical systems including IBM Mainframe, Control-M, and Electronic Secure File Transfer (ESFT) systems. As a part of this team, you will ensure the continuous availability, performance, and security of these key systems that drive our operations. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, quick troubleshooting abilities, and a strong commitment to ensuring uninterrupted system functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IBM Mainframe Support: Monitor and manage the performance, availability, and health of IBM mainframe systems, including job scheduling, resource allocation, and system diagnostics.
  • Control-M Job Scheduling: Oversee the timely and efficient execution of scheduled jobs via Control-M, ensuring that batch jobs are processed smoothly and resolving any failures in real-time.
  • Electronic Secure File Transfer (ESFT) Management: Monitor and support the secure file transfer system, ensuring secure and reliable file transfers across different platforms, and troubleshooting any transfer issues promptly.
  • Incident Management: Quickly respond to system alerts and incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues to minimize downtime and system impact.
  • System Monitoring: Use system monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and maintain system performance; perform routine checks and escalate potential problems to higher levels when necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teams (e.g., Infrastructure, Security, and Application Support) to address system issues, enhance operational processes, and improve system reliability.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of incidents, issues, resolutions, and routine maintenance tasks. Provide regular reports on system health, incidents, and any recommendations for improvements.
