Tissue Registry Clerk | Rochester, MN | Contract
Walker Healthforce is seeking a Tissue Registry Clerk for a healthcare client located in Rochester, MN. This is a contract opportunity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of medical terminology, and a background in science or 1-2 years of medical experience is preferred, but not required. Previous experience or knowledge of computers and keyboarding, telephone operations and other office equipment desired. The ability to accurately read specimen labels and work with numbers to prevent mislabeling. Must be organized, able to prioritize and work in a self-disciplined environment. Must possess good human relations skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Must be able to work independently as well in a team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Non-clinical role; no patient access.
- Organizing by sequential number
- High attention to detail to identify if out of sequence
- Data entry in Excel; documenting data accurately.
- Able to remain productive with repetitive tasks and work independently.
- Retrieving and refiling materials; counting and verifying materials.
