Application Operations Lead

We need a skilled Application Operations Lead to join this IT team. This hybrid role is a blend of application support, integration, and analytics. The ideal person will have hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms, data integration, scripting, and systems such as ecommerce platforms or warehouse management systems. You'll work between the departments, ensuring reliable applications, workflow and reporting metrics are maintained across the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations and performance support of ecommerce and other application integration points
• Build and maintain data integrations between systems using Python, APIs, and ETL routines
• Support and optimize internal applications and custom tools that enable business workflows
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system or integration improvements
• Identify, document, and resolve data inconsistencies and ensure data integrity across platforms
• Monitor systems for failures or slowdowns and ensure rapid resolution of issues
• Maintain and improve documentation for integrations, data flows, and system configurations
• Contribute to system upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives
• Help establish a roadmap for improving and standardizing business system processes across departments

Required

• 3+ years of experience in application operations, system integrations, or a related technical role
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for scripting, data processing, and automation
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and Git-based source control
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and data exchange formats such as JSON, XML, CSV
• Comfortable working in Linux-based environments for script execution and job automation
• Experience with ERP, WMS, or ecommerce systems such as Shopify, NetSuite, Salesforce, or SouthWare
• Familiarity with modern ETL tools or custom data pipeline development
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to track down issues across systems
• Comfortable working in command-line environments (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) to execute scripts and automate jobs

Preferred

• Experience building dashboards or visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
• Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain structured data flows across multiple applications
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with Snowflake or similar platforms
• Experience working with version-controlled codebases in a collaborative environment
• Exposure to marketing systems, order fulfillment, or customer support tooling
