Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced SolarWinds Monitoring Engineer with 10+ years of expertise in infrastructure monitoring, automation, and IT operations. The ideal candidate will deploy, configure, optimize, and maintain SolarWinds platforms to ensure full visibility into enterprise systems, while also integrating workflows with ServiceNow ITOM and supporting ITIL-based processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain SolarWinds for end-to-end infrastructure and network monitoring.

  • Develop custom monitoring templates, dashboards, alerts, and reporting mechanisms.

  • Continuously monitor system performance and proactively identify issues and trends.

  • Create performance reports, capacity forecasts, and incident tracking analytics.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve monitoring failures, ensuring full observability and system uptime.

  • Automate workflows, tasks, and data collection using PowerShell scripting.

  • Integrate SolarWinds with ServiceNow ITOM, focusing on asset discovery, tracking, IPAM, and reporting.

  • Support ITIL processes including Incident, Asset, Problem, and Change Management.

  • Work closely with network, infrastructure, and operations teams to maintain monitoring standards.

  • Continuously drive improvements in automation, monitoring coverage, and operational efficiency.


Technical Skills

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with SolarWinds, including advanced configurations, dashboards, and custom monitoring solutions.

  • Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.

  • Good understanding of ServiceNow ITOM module (asset discovery, CMDB updates, IPAM, reporting).

  • Familiarity with additional scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell (plus).

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, specifically in Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management.
