Job Title: Azure IaaS Engineer

Location: Melbourne, Florida (Onsite)

Duration / Term: Long-Term Contract

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Azure IaaS Engineer to join our Cloud Services team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Azure IaaS implementation, migration execution, and automation scripting, working closely with architecture and operations teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions. This role involves building Azure landing zones, performing POC deployments, and resolving complex technical issues in a 24x7x365 global support environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve critical and complex issues across Azure services and platform diagnostics
  • Collaborate with architects to deploy new capabilities and build Azure landing zones
  • Lead migration efforts using tools like Azure Migrate and ASR (DRaaS)
  • Develop automation scripts for troubleshooting and diagnostics using PowerShell
  • Create and maintain SOPs and TSGs for L1/L2 support teams
  • Act as a technical escalation point for high-impact customer scenarios
  • Analyze top issues affecting customer experience and drive resolution
  • Support process improvement initiatives with architecture teams

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in technical roles, with 2+ years as an Azure Cloud Engineer
  • Strong hands-on experience in Azure Governance, Cost Management, Network & Security, Active Directory, Compute & Storage, Backup & DR, and Monitoring
  • Proven expertise in Windows/Linux administration and virtualization technologies
  • Experience with ARM templates and PowerShell scripting
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn new technologies quickly
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
