Director of IT

ProTech is seeking a Director of IT for an onsite direct hire in the Memphis, TN area.
Key Responsibilities for Director of IT:

• Ongoing compilation of business needs of the company that can be addressed with software, infrastructure and hardware
• Investigate and propose software, infrastructure services and hardware purchases including internal development and the use of new technologies
• Build consensus / get approval for methods of satisfying prioritized and agreed needs developed above
• Look for opportunities to consolidate servers, subscriptions and software platforms to maintain single systems-of-record and approval task management
• Acquire internal and external permanent and contract resources necessary to implement plans developed above
• Manage customer and supplier service provisioning expectations both by engagement with project leaders and sales/contract teams
• Maintain ongoing system penetration risk analysis and ongoing risk mitigation practices including management of ERP, WMS and ancillary platform version currency
• Develop and maintain commercially viable business continuity policies, procedures and periodic exercise of the plan with ISO compliant documentation
• Manage data and access governance policies and procedures that enable compliance with government, trading partner and financial institution requirements
• Develop internal talent to prevent single sources of failure in any key process or technology

Skills Needed for Director of IT:

• Understanding of key internal and external deliverables and dependencies among functional areas of wholesale distribution businesses (sales, finance, warehouse, etc.)
• Understanding of on premise and cloud based data processing advantages and disadvantages
• Understanding of general ledger accounting in a distribution environment
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics clearly and succinctly across departments and with customers
• Strong ability to plan, execute and propagate change and evaluate ongoing effectiveness
• Strong sense of urgency as it relates to systems uptime and security
• Ability to manage and develop IT team and team members

Minimum Requirements for IT Director:

• 5+ years in IT management in a multi location environment
• Significant experience with warehouse management systems
• Significant development and integration experience with APIs, BODs, web services, etc.
• Preferred experience with Infor CloudSuite Distribution
