Description
We are looking for an IT Security Specialist to join our team in Wilmington, Ohio. This role involves developing and maintaining robust security protocols to safeguard organizational data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in IT security policies and practices.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement IT security policies to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
Conduct regular audits of systems and employee activities to verify adherence to security protocols.
Develop and deliver comprehensive security training programs for employees.
Monitor and maintain database security to protect sensitive information.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices.
Identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend effective solutions to mitigate risks.
Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and integrate preventative measures into existing systems.
Support the organization in achieving certifications such as ISO 27001 or equivalent.
Create detailed reports on security performance and recommend improvements.
Ensure proper governance of cyber policies across the organization.
Requirements
Minimum of three years of experience in IT security or a related role.
Proficiency in Office 365, particularly Excel, with video editing skills as a plus.
Strong knowledge of data privacy, database security, and cybersecurity principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make critical decisions.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Certification in CompTIA Cybersecurity or similar credentials is an advantage.
