Description
Systems Engineers will find an opening to join the team with one of Robert Half's local clients. If you want to be a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure, this Systems Engineer position will be great for you. Key responsibilities
- Ensure 2nd and 3rd level support
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Consistently deliver the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Administer and control all installed systems and infrastructure
- Be a part of the development of design of information and operational support systems
- Sustain backup, redundancy strategies, and security
- Install, maintain, configure, and test operating systems, system management tools, and application software
- Track an assay application performance for potential bottlenecks, determine possible solutions, and collaborate with developers to achieve those fixes
Requirements
- You'll be a good fit for this position if you have experience with virtualization and containerization
- Solid networking knowledge is required for success at this position
- You might be a good fit for this position if you have experience with monitoring systems
- Applicants should have experience with automation software
- You might be a good fit for this position if you have solid scripting skills
- Applicants should have proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems
- VMware experience
- Microsoft Office 365 experience required
- Strong familiarity with system administration
- It is preferred for applicants to have solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
