ServiceNow Engineer

Job Description: GridIron IT is seeking a ServiceNow Engineer with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced ServiceNow Engineer with specialized expertise in either HR Service Delivery (HRSD) or IT Asset Management/Hardware Asset Management (ITAM/HAM). This role requires someone who can not only configure and engineer solutions, but also lead the coordination, implementation, and successful delivery of HRSD or ITAM projects from start to finish.
This is not an administrator role we re looking for a hands-on technical engineer who understands the business needs behind the modules and can lead project execution while working collaboratively across teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Under general management supervision, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the technical and delivery lead for HRSD or ITAM/HAM ServiceNow module implementations, taking ownership from requirements gathering through to project completion.
- Lead the configuration, customization, and enhancement of the HRSD or ITAM/HAM modules within the ServiceNow platform.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and manage delivery timelines to ensure project goals are met.
- Drive project coordination across business units, IT, and ServiceNow platform teams.
- Develop integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems as needed to support module workflows and data exchange.
- Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow configurations, including Dashboards, Reports, Forms, Views, Workflows, and Roles.
- Monitor platform health, performance, and compliance.
- Coordinate and manage platform and application upgrades.
- Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Client Scripts.
- Load, manage, and manipulate data to support system integrity and module functionality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, communicate updates and blockers, and ensure delivery velocity remains high.
- Stay up to date on ServiceNow best practices, releases, and capabilities specific to HRSD and ITAM/HAM.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree with 5 10 years of relevant experience or Master s degree with 3 4 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow platform engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading and delivering projects in either HR Service Delivery (HRSD) or IT Asset Management (ITAM/HAM) modules is required.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and drive end-to-end solution delivery.
- Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, performance tuning, and best practices for module configuration.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party systems.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, including scripting and automation (Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile development practices.
- ITIL Foundations Certification preferred.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or equivalent clearance.
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Compensation and Benefits: Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
