Role: Sr. IT Software Developer In Test
6 Month Contract (Potential to extend)

For this contractor assignment, the Senior IT Software Developer in Test is responsible for solving testability problems and designing technology solutions that assist developers and testers. Utilizes software engineering skills to identify risks and potential defects within software components or systems. Influences software and/or systems development decisions by reviewing work and providing recommendations for addressing testability challenges. Executes activities across the software development life cycle, considering various methods and techniques to obtain efficient solutions. Recommends ways to utilize technology to improve testing and automation approaches.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Designs, constructs, and maintains software systems (e.g., test automation frameworks, automation fixtures, responders, harnesses, data generators, and analysis tools).
• Identifies and addresses complex testability and automation challenges.
• Assesses risk to determine scope and focus of automation testing effort.
• Contributes to requirements reviews, design reviews, systems analysis, and automation testing review discussions.
• Tests systems or system components using automated tools.
• Captures test results and collaborates with project and product team members to address findings and improve system performance and quality.

Required skills:
• Automation Tools: Playwright, Reqnroll, Salesforce automation
• Programming & Development: Strong knowledge of coding concepts, solid understanding of C#/.NET, experience with Visual Studio
• Testing Expertise: Common testing methods and industry practices, automated test design and execution, debugging automation scripts
• Frameworks & Integration: Skilled in developing or implementing test automation frameworks and integrating them with applications
• Data & Databases: Knowledge of data structures, relational databases (SQL Server, DB2), SSRS, SSIS
• Web Services: Experience with Web API, WCF, SOAP, and REST-based services
• Software Delivery Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Waterfall
• Compliance & Standards: Familiarity with PCI, SOX, WCAG, and other regulatory standards
• Vendor Integration: Understanding how vendor software impacts test automation approaches
• Adaptability: Ability to work independently and adjust to changing circumstances

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 7 years related work experience designing, programming and supporting software programs and applications.
- {OR} the completion of a technical training program and a minimum 4 years related work experience designing, programming and supporting software programs and applications.
- {OR} Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology related field of study and a minimum 4 years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.
