Job Description: Senior Network Engineer

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our client's Enterprise Network team. The ideal candidate will provide daily deployment, configuration, and technical support for a wide range of IT infrastructure components across our client's campus, data center, and WAN environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 5-10 years of experience who thrives in a dynamic, project-oriented, and operational support role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the Enterprise Network team, handling both project-based work and day-to-day operational support.
• Provide general support across multiple network environments, including campus, data center, and WAN.
• Support firewall operations, including daily troubleshooting of connectivity requests and VPN tunnels.
• Work with multiple stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze costs, and recommend effective design solutions.
• Complete changes as needed, often during after-hours maintenance windows.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure continuous network stability.
• Be willing to work on-site as required to support campus network environments.
• Provide training and technical support to users with varying levels of technical expertise.

Qualifications

Requirements

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in network and security roles.
• Strong experience in a variety of network areas, including routing/switching, data center, wireless, security, and VPN.
• Proven ability to diagnose and solve complex technical problems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical clients.
• Experience in maintaining network monitoring systems and taking/analyzing packet captures.
• Willingness to work on-site and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Preferred

• Familiarity with NIST standards and controls.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Access Points.
• Familiarity with IPv6 addressing.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification.
