Volt is immediately hiring for a Site Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure in Seattle, WA.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong focus on infrastructure to join our engineering team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems while driving automation and operational excellence across our infrastructure stack.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure key responsibilities are:

  • Infrastructure reliability: Design, build, and maintain resilient infrastructure systems across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Automation & tooling: Develop and improve automation frameworks for deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Monitoring & observability: Implement and enhance observability tools to ensure proactive detection and resolution of issues.
  • Incident management: Lead response efforts during outages, conduct root cause analysis, and drive postmortem improvements.
  • Capacity planning: Forecast and optimize infrastructure usage to support growth and performance needs.
  • Collaboration: Partner with software engineers, DevOps, and security teams to deliver reliable and secure services.
  • Best practices: Champion SRE principles, including error budgets, SLIs/SLOs, and continuous improvement.

This is a full time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience: 6+ years in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering roles.
  • Technical expertise: Strong background in Linux systems, networking, and nice to have cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).
  • Programming skills: Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages for automation and tooling.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
  • Observability tools: Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring stacks.
  • Resilience mindset: Proven ability to design fault-tolerant systems and manage large-scale distributed environments.
  • Soft skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Pay Rate: $55.00-80.00/hour
