Strong backend experience (6-8 years)
Java (primary), Python also acceptable
Database design (Postgres, MySQL, or NoSQL)
Preferred Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Cloud: AWS or Google Cloud Platform
Frontend: React or Angular exposure
AI tools: ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot familiarity
Key Responsibilities
90% backend development, 10% meetings
Daily 30-minute standup, work on Jira tasks
After 1-2 months, expected to independently deliver small features (including writing Jira stories/tasks)
Extend and enhance existing database schemas (not from scratch)
Work closely with senior backend engineer; individual contributor role
Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project: We are seeking a Backend Engineer with 7-8 years of professional experience to help design and implement scalable backend systems for Goldin WMS. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in database schema design, experienced with Java, and familiar with deploying services on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) or AWS. This role focuses on backend engineering but offers opportunities to contribute across the stack, including React-based web applications and Android mobile systems.
