Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and design support.
- Interface with customers and other field technicians.
- Assemble and construct system assemblies.
- Conduct test and debug electronic or electrical designs.
- Provide and/or expedite project documentation.
- Assist with organization, checking of documentation for new equipment.
- Assist in production and/or manuals for new equipment.
- Requisition parts and/or materials for projects. Prepare drawings and/or sketches, wire list, and parts list.
- Review and correct documentation for projects.
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance, maintain PM records and reports.
- Repairs and troubleshoots electronic, electrical, and/or mechanical equipment.
- Technical support of mill and field equipment.
- Program PLC and HMI
- Program AC/DC drives.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- 2-year technical degree and/ or experience in the related field.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of technical ability.
- Ability to solve complex problems and to relate technical knowledge to specific applications.
- Domestic and some international travel.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand in uncomfortable positions for some time.
- Must be able to work in varied weather conditions.
- Must be comfortable getting dirty, and/or working in contaminated areas.
- Must be comfortable working at heights/manlifts.
